She doesn't want to waste every minute of the day because every minutes of her time is worth money and she's so determined to become a partner in the firm. Although Samantha earns 500 pounds per hour, she has no social life to speak of, is stressed out beyond belief, and her high-powered mother and brother can't even make the time to join her for her latest birthday celebration. All of this seems worth it, though, when she finds out that she has achieved her biggest goal-she has become a partner at Carter Spink.Unfortunately, the joy is a short-lived. Samantha finds some papers on her desk that she apparently forgot to file-and that little mistake loses the firm 50 million pounds. Unable to face her mistake, she rushes out of the office and gets on a train. When she gets of the train, she has a bad headache and approaches a big, beautiful house to ask for directions and water. The lady of the house mistakes her for an applicant for position of housekeeper, gives her a tour of the house, and describing her duties. Wanting only a place to crash for the night and to get her head in order, Samantha unwittingly takes the job. When she finds out that she no longer has a career at Carter Spink, she decides to stick it out at the big house for a while-but there's a problem, she doesn't know how to laundry, cook and clean. Fortunately, the muscular, hot gardener, Nathaniel, falls in love with her and invite her to his house, where his mother teaches her all she needs to know about cooking, cleaning and ironing. Samantha soon enjoys her country life and her romance with Nathaniel. She discovers that the slow life suit her just fine. However, she can't escape her past and in fact uncovers the fact that she didn't make a mistake but was in fact framed. She surfs the internet and finds out that the senior partner framed her for his own benefits. But, she wants just to escape back to being the housekeeper, the simple life and her new love with Nathaniel.
